Introduction:

Founded in November 1987 in Chengdu upon the registration at the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Chengdu Association of Enterprises with Foreign Investment (CAEFI), a non-profit social entity reporting to the Ministry of Commerce, is mainly composed of companies in the territory of Chengdu with foreign investment or investment from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas compatriots.

Business Scope:

In accordance with the state guidelines, policies, laws and regulations concerning opening up and encouraging foreign investment, CAEFI makes its best efforts to provide services to its members and other investors, guide its members to run their companies legally, safeguard the legitimate interests of its members, enhance the mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation in-between its members, between its members and the government, and facilitate its members to play a positive role in China’s undertaking of harmonious economic development and international economic cooperation.

Mandate:

1.       Publicizing and implementing the state guidelines, policies, laws and regulations concerning opening up and foreign investment attraction, and making Chengdu’s investment environment known to the investors and offering information, advices and other services in order to promote foreign investment inflow into Chengdu;

2.       Organizing its members to exchange experiences in operation and management, and commending good examples to stimulate common improvement;

3.       Hearing complaints from its members and conveying the opinions of its members and other foreign investors to the relevant government departments concerning investment environment;

4.       Holding training courses, workshops, seminars or investigation tours at the request of its members;

5.       Organizing its members to take part in exhibitions at home and abroad;

6.       Hosting parties to enhance the friendship and cooperation in-between its members and to consolidate the linkage and mutual understanding between its members and the government;

7.       Developing friendly exchanges with overseas business entities to promote international communication and cooperation;

8.       Editing and publishing books and magazines in relation with foreign investment attraction;

9.       Handling tasks commissioned by relevant government departments or its members.

Service Function:

Membership Service:

1.       In charge of daily communication work with membership enterprises;

2.       To collect and sort out database of members as well as membership fees, to collect and reward member enterprises;

3.       To organize various forms of friendship-building activities, strengthen ties and mutual understandings between members and relevant government departments, enhance the friendship and cooperation between members themselves as well as make preparation work for the meeting of Council, Standing Council and the CAEFI General Meeting.

Consultant Service:

1.       To provide information and consulting services in order to facilitate foreign investment in Chengdu;

2.       Under the authorization and entrustment from government institutions, organizations and enterprises, to organize and undertake seminars, symposia, training courses, and business investigations both at home and abroad.

Exhibition Service:

1.       To organize enterprises to attend all kinds of exhibitions, expositions and fairs for investment and trade abroad. To sponsor non-commercial exhibitions organized by government departments;

2.       To make contact with foreign exhibition organizations and enterprises and invite them to hold various fairs cooperatively in Chengdu;
